Duracrete is a licensee of the Canus manufacturing system for acoustic walls
The Duracrete manufacturing plant is located in Bolton, Ontario and is the exclusive Canus manufacturer for south western Ontario. We chose the Canus system because we felt it was the leading product in the category and for the acceptance it has with Governments of Alberta and British Columbia and various municipalities.
The Canus manufactured product has been used extensively for concrete acoustic walls for municipalities and for provincial highways projects. Typically 10 feet (3m) high, (with the potential of 10 m) these acoustic walls are a cost-effective and effective noise mitigation barrier.
The Canus product was selected by Kiewit Flatiron for the abatement fencing for the Gateway Port Mann-Highway 1 project, currently one of the largest public works projects underway in Canada. Over 14 kilometers of concrete acoustic wall will be supplied for this project.
In addition, the Canus product was installed for approaches to the Golden Crossing Bridge between Langley and Maple Ridge. Other projects included Highway 10 in Surrey and Highway 97A in New Westminster. The Canus system has met the requirements of numerous municipalities such as Surrey, Delta and Langley and has been chosen for multiple projects.
